Samuel Georgewill, community worker

Birkbeck has been offering evening courses in Stratford since 2007 - providing students with the opportunity to study closer to home and gain prestigious University of London qualifications. Samuel Georgewill is studying Birkbeck's BSc in Community Development and Public Policy in Stratford. He said: "The course I'm doing now is perfect for me - it's giving me the theory behind the practice of what I do as a volunteer in my local community.
